getting ready

So my dad got a new board, which means I get his old one, Finally a board thats big enough!!
anyways, it looked like it was in decent shape until i saw this

that diff i picked up

Yeah, so today I took the diff that I picked up from the pick and pull a couple of weekends ago out of the garage to clean it/wire brush all the dirt off.  It seems pretty solid, its totally an open diff though.  you can spin the two sides opposite of each other no problem

the bushings on either side look old but theyre still in decent shape

and the flex disk looks really solid.  When I destroy the one thats on the car right now, Ill probably take this one.

over break, ill be taking the one thats in my car right now out and bringing that to Blu808 to get it welded and then Ill put it back in.  the one here is a backup/ ill put it in if Im ever making more power

some parts and stuff

So i got a new air filter for the 911 to replace that piece of junk that was on there

and a threaded cusco spin turn knob for the sc300.  

the cusco one is on the car now and this is the old one that i pressed onto the oem ebrake knob.  

the cusco one is a little weird, I think you actually twist it/spin it to tighten it when you ratchet it up so that it doesnt fail because there is no spring.  its safer that way, i guess

I think im going to be painting the 911 over the second half of brake.  I know that this is like the third time that I have said that im going to have it painted, ive been busy with stuff and assuming there is a hot day over break, I should have it painted for sure




i forgot to add, theres a shop in cambell, CA that does drift car prep called blu808 that i called up today and they weld diffs for $75.  so over break hopefully ill take the pumpkin out of the car and bring it to them to weld

Not bad looking for cut springs.  Little higher in the front would look nice

i thought there was only one good looking mk3, the risky devil one, but then i saw this one

-2 or -3 degrees more camber in the back and this thing would be spot on

sc300 door

so the door on the sc wasnt working trying to open it from the outside or inside or when locking it.  i took of the door panel and i saw that the lock mech was cracked, but i didnt see anything wrong with the handles, and everything works now with the door panel off
